Dr Bradley Porter is a Consultant Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist at University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust, specialising in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac arrhythmias. He completed CCT in Cardiology in 2022 and holds BHRS Electrophysiology (2022) and Devices (2021, Distinction) accreditations, alongside a PhD from King’s College London on ventricular repolarisation instability.

He previously held consultant and fellowship posts at Imperial College Healthcare, Chelsea and Westminster, and Guy’s and St Thomas’/King’s College London. His procedural expertise spans electrophysiology studies; ablation of supraventricular and ventricular arrhythmias; atrial fibrillation ablation (RF and cryo); cardioneuroablation for refractory vasovagal syncope; and advanced 3D mapping, intracardiac echo and minimal-fluoroscopy techniques.

He has led service innovations including COVID-19 EP elective pathway management, a syncope triage pathway, and the left atrial appendage occlusion referral and MDT service, and contributed to atrial fibrillation quality-improvement programmes. His work has been recognised with the Royal College of Physicians Excellence in Patient Care Award (2019) and the AF Association Healthcare Pioneer Award (2017). He remains active in research and education, with publications in electrophysiology and heart failure, and regular teaching roles.
