If you don’t have health insurance, you don’t have to wait for treatment.
Peninsula Heart Clinic offers fast access to treatment for a range of heart conditions.
We welcome patients choosing to pay for their treatments, who might not have private medical insurance or wish to avoid long waiting lists.
Most of the treatments and services we offer have little or no waiting time, making it more convenient for you.
We provide the highest standards of consultant-led care – nothing less than you’d expect – so you can be back to normal and get on with life as quickly as possible.
As a self-pay patient, you will have access to leading cardiologists and other specialists to help you every step of the way. We’ll aim to get you an appointment with the right consultant within 48 hours of your enquiry.
Some consultants will require a GP referral, but we can assist with this too. If in doubt on whether you require a referral letter, do give us a ring and they will be more than happy to explain the process. For most patients, the cost of your treatment can be fixed*, giving you peace of mind and transparency of cost. These costs are subject to regular review to ensure cost-effective care. We accept all major credit and debit cards, cash and cheques (cheques must be cleared before admission).
Please telephone us on 01752 437837 to request a fixed-price package quote for any procedure.
Alternatively, please direct any self-pay enquiry to firstname.lastname@example.org

Frequently Asked Questions
What should I do next?
If your GP has issued a referral letter and you would like to see a consultant at one of our heart clinics, please contact the clinic directly.
What if I have an outpatient appointment?
Please contact the self-pay department before your outpatient appointment to obtain the clinic costs for any tests you may require. All self-funding outpatient appointments are payable in advance or on the day of treatment. Any consultation or tests you undergo are payable to the clinic and will include the consultant’s fees. If you are covered by private medical insurance, please see the tab above called ‘Insured Patients’ for further information.
How do I pay for my treatment?
The total cost of your treatment is payable before or on admission. We ask you to settle your account in advance by contacting the finance department at the clinic. Payment can be made by cash, cheque, bank transfer or credit/debit card.
If you wish to pay by bank transfer, the money must have cleared and been showing on your clinic account before admission. If your admission is imminent, then you may be asked to provide proof of the transfer of your admission.
